Abrams ( Super 8, Mission Impossible 3) misses a few notes (which could perhaps be fixed with a extended directors cut) but delivers outstanding action and undeniable spectacle. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker answers those questions (and more) while taking fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane with future and past interspersed as one. Can Rey defeat Kylo Ren (Adam Driver)? Is she really a "nobody" as was said in Star Wars: The Last Jedi or is there more to her lineage? Can John Williams ever write a bad score? (Of course not.) Determined to help save the galaxy from The First Order, Rey uses her force powers to help fight for everyone the galaxy over. ![]() Rey (Daisy Ridley) returns to fight the evil of the Sith. The final chapter in the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is a reasonably satisfactory (if imperfect) conclusion to the beloved series.
